{"id":565,"date":"2026-03-18T11:35:39","date_gmt":"2026-03-18T11:35:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/home.pf.jcu.cz\/~csgg2026\/?page_id=565"},"modified":"2026-09-13T08:51:08","modified_gmt":"2026-09-13T08:51:08","slug":"conference-excursion","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/home.pf.jcu.cz\/~csgg2026\/index.php\/en\/conference-excursion\/","title":{"rendered":"Conference Excursion"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Wednesday, 16 September, 12:30\u201318:00<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The excursion will head to <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/%c4%8cesk%c3%bd_Krumlov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u010cesk\u00fd Krumlov<\/a>, a historic town located just over 20 km southwest of \u010cesk\u00e9 Bud\u011bjovice, known for its rich architectural heritage and its world-famous <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zamek-ceskykrumlov.cz\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">castle<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The visit will focus on two sites within the castle complex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:#FFEE58\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Due to the unforeseen closure of the Bellarie Summer House for technical reasons, the second site has been replaced. see <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/GmUeUuKCo3URkvdr8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">map 1<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Meeting time:<\/strong> 12:30<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Departure time:<\/strong> 12:40<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Arrival in \u010cesk\u00fd Krumlov:<\/strong> <strong>13:30<\/strong> (<strong>Departure:<\/strong> <strong>17:30<\/strong>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From the bus, we will walk to the Castle Theatre along a route of approximately 500\u2013600 m with an elevation gain of 30 m (see <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/UZys3GDPtmoxh4mC8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">map 2<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>After this walk, the excursion will continue in two groups<\/strong> (the group allocation will be addressed during registration).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:19px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Group 1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Group 1 will continue about 120 m further into the castle complex to <strong>the Third Courtyard<\/strong> (see <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/3Ln4SvTGrawzN5KD8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">map 3<\/a>), where it will start a guided tour along <strong>Tour Route 1 in English<\/strong> <strong>at 14:15<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the tour ends at approximately <strong>15:15<\/strong>, the group will make its way back to<strong> the Baroque Castle Theatre<\/strong>, where it will start an <strong>English-language guided tour at 15:30<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At approximately <strong>16:30<\/strong>, the group will have free time, with enough time to make its own way back to the bus parking area in time for the planned <strong>17:30 departure<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Group 2<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Group 2 will start a <strong>Czech-language guided tour of the Baroque Castle Theatre at 14:00<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After the tour ends at approximately <strong>15:00<\/strong>, the group will have free time, with enough time to make its way to <strong>the Third Courtyard<\/strong> (see <a href=\"https:\/\/maps.app.goo.gl\/3Ln4SvTGrawzN5KD8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">map 3<\/a>) in time to start a <strong>guided tour of the castle along Tour Route 1 at 15:45<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At approximately <strong>16:45<\/strong>, the group will have free time, allowing them to make their own way back to the bus parking area in time for the planned <strong>17:30 departure<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:36px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The guided tour of the <strong>Baroque Castle Theatre<\/strong> will be conducted in English or, depending on the group, in Czech. The tour will be led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jcu.cz\/cz\/univerzita\/lide\/clovek?identita=Vorisek_Martin_5722\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Mgr. Martin Vo\u0159\u00ed\u0161ek, Ph.D.<\/strong><\/a>, <em>Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Baroque Theatre Foundation of \u010cesk\u00fd Krumlov<\/em> and <em>Head of the Department of Music Education at the Faculty of Education, University of South Bohemia in \u010cesk\u00e9 Bud\u011bjovice<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After completing the programme, participants will walk back to the bus parking area.
