In the speech, we will first deal with what we imagine under STEM education from the point of view of content and teaching methods, the organization of education and main educational goals we want to achieve. In the second part, we will focus on informatics as one of the STEM disciplines and show the potential of programming or robotics for teaching the educational goals of other STEM subjects, e.g. during the propaedeutics of some difficult mathematical concepts or as an environment for their application in other learning situations. Part of the lecture will be spent to a presentation of informatics as aa educational area according to the new state concept and its differentiation from the use of digital technologies and from digital literacy.
