První krůčky k izoperimetrické nerovnosti

| Abstract | Izoperimetrická nerovnost říká, že při konstantním povrchu tělesa je těleso s největším objemem koule, respektive při konstantním obvodu je rovinný obrazec s největším obsahem kruh. Cílem práce je představit izoperimetrickou nerovnost a předložit několik základních úloh, které mohou sloužit jako motivace či první vhled do problematiky. V příspěvku se záměrně vyhýbáme pokročilému kalkulu a využíváme jen středoškolskou matematiku a základní kalkulus. |

On the divergence of series of reciprocals of the Baťa prime numbers

| Abstract | In this note, we introduce a new class of prime numbers - Baťa primes. A positive integer is called a Baťa prime of class k, if it ends with at least k 9s. We prove that for any positive integer k there exist infinitely many Baťa primes of class k. Some generalizations of this statement to other end digits are given as well. By means of the Stieltjes integral and the Prime Number Theorem for arithmetic progressions we also prove that the sum of reciprocal values of the Baťa primes is infinity. |

On one reduced form of quartic polynomials

| Abstract | The paper shows that sets of roots of monic fourth-degree polynomials of the type f(x)=x4+a2x2+a1x+a0 with real coefficients can be characterized by curves of the third, fourth and fifth degree, respectively. |
